Homemade Mask for All types of Skins




You can use basic ingredients found around the house to make your own simple, hydrating masks.

here r some home made mask recipes for all types of skins.

Masks (homemade or otherwise) should stay on for 10-15 minutes. Follow with a cleansing and a thin layer of moisturizer.


Clay Mask for all skin type

Ingredients:

* 1½ tsp green clay (French is preferred)
* ½ tsp kaolin clay
* 1½ tbsp aloe vera gel
* 1 tbsp rosewater
* 2 drops rose essential oil

Preparation:

Mix green and kaolin clays together.
Add in the aloe vera gel, rosewater and oils.
Refrigerate mixture for up to four weeks.

Yoghurt face mask for all skin type

This simple (only two ingredients!) cooling mask is great for soothing a sunburn face. It's great for all skin types.

Prep Time: 2 hours,

Ingredients:

* 1 tbsp natural yogurt, room temperature (not lowfat or non-fat)
* 1 tsp runny honey (microwave for a few minutes to soften hardened honey)

Preparation:

Combine mixture, then apply to face.
Let sit for 15 minutes.
Wash face with steaming washcloth.
For dry skin, use an extra tsp of honey.
Oily skin? Add a few drops of fresh lime juice.

Cat Litter mask for all skin types

Ingredients:

* 1 bag cat litter (must be marked '100 Percent Natural Clay')
* Water
* Drops of your favorite essential oil

Preparation:

Mix in a couple tablespoons of the cat litter with water and drops of oil (we find the oil helps make the experience somehow less kitty litter-ish)
Apply mask to face
Wash off after 15 minutes.

Yummy Avocado Mask

Ingredients:

1/2 avocado (you can also substitute 2 teaspoons avocado oil)
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Mash these together. Apply to skin and leave for 5-10 minutes. Rinse with a washcloth drenched in cool water

Relaxing Rose Mask

Ingredients:

6 rose petals
2 tbsps rosewater
1 tbsp greek plain yogurt
1 tbsp naturally runny honey (you can warm honey in a microwave for 8 seconds to get it runny. Plus, the warmth is particularly soothing for this mask).

Soak rose petals, then crush them in a bowl. Add the rosewater, yogurt and honey. Don't have the rose petals? No problem. Mix well & apply to the skin. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse.

Soothing Yogurt Mask

Ingredients:

1 cup natural yogurt (best just-out-of-the-fridge cold)
1/2 cup oatmeal (any type of basic oatmeal works here)
2 sprigs of mint

Mix the ingredients together & apply to the skin for 15 minutes. Wash off mask with a warm washcloth. Extra tip: This mask works well for other skin types as well. For oily skin, add a couple drops of lime juice. For dry skin, mix in a couple tablespoons of honey

Energizing Lemon Mask

Ingredients:

1 tsp lemon juice (have a real lemon? Include a teaspoon of the lemon pulp)
2 egg white
2 tsp honey
1 cup strawberries
4 drops eucalyptus oil or jojoba oil (optional)
2 sprigs of mint

Blend the above ingredients, apply and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse. Recipe works for 2 people, so invite a friend, or cut recipe in half for just you.
